An International scientific conference on “Modern approaches in treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract”

An International scientific conference on “Modern approaches in treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract” took place in Baku at the Hyatt Regency Baku on 21th November. It was participated by more than 160 doctors: pediatricians, physicians, ENTs, allergists of clinics and hospitals of Baku.

The conference was opened by Professor Amaliya Eyubova, who is Chairman, MD, Head of the Department of Childhood Illness II of Azerbaijan Medical University. The speakers were MD, Head of the Department of Pulmonology of Moscow Research Institute of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery Professor Yuriy Mizernitskiy (Russia): “Mucolytic therapy in sickly children”;

MD, Head of Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases of Bukovina State Medical University (Ukraine) Professor Elena Koloskova: “Optimizing the treatment of acute respiratory infections in children from the standpoint of evidence-based medicine” and MD, Head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of Vinnitsa National Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov (Ukraine) Professor Vasily Kischuk: “The modern approach to treatment and prevention of acute and chronic pharyngitis, laryngitis (sinusitis).”
Speakers shared their experience of prescribing Influcid, Cinnabsin, Tonsilotren, Prospan. All reports aroused great interest among the audience, a lot of  questions was asked. Health quiz took place after reports and  quiz winners received prizes.
