Alpen Pharma at the 24th Azerbaijan Uroandrologists Symposium

Alpen Pharma participated in the 24th Azerbaijan Uroandrologists Symposium, where Professor Rauf Naghiyev, Head of the Department of Urology at Azerbaijan Medical University and Chairman of the Azerbaijan Endourology Society, delivered a scientific presentation.

The presentation focused on modern approaches to the differential diagnosis of chronic prostatitis and prostate cancer. Key topics included current EAU/AUA recommendations, contemporary diagnostic algorithms involving PSA assessment, multiparametric MRI (mpMRI), targeted Fusion biopsy, and the impact of inflammatory processes on diagnostic accuracy.

Special attention was given to the pathophysiology of chronic prostatitis, including fibrosis and bacterial biofilms, as well as the role of Distreptaza® enzyme therapy in comprehensive treatment strategies aimed at improving clinical outcomes and patients’ quality of life.

During the symposium, Alpen Pharma representatives also introduced the company’s urology portfolio, including Toreo®, Distreptaza®, Dannoza Uro-Prolong®, Solidagoren® and Prostamed®.
